Will’s Quilt

Today I finished a baby quilt for my cousin’s new baby.  William Michael is the recipient of my latest sewing project! I made his little puff quilt using some cute frog print fabric that reminded me of the movie “The Frog Princess”.  I watched that movie a couple weeks ago, it reminded me of my daughter Caitlin, who is in New Orleans going to school at Tulane.  I think that Tiana is a real “smartie”, as my granddaughter Evie would say! and I love to listen to her friend Charlotte talk, with that cute southern drawl, it reminds me of Caitlin’s roommate Sarah.  Anyway, back to the quilt! I added some left over fabric from Will’s big brother Drew’s quilt, a fish fabric with Nemo on it, and added some hot air balloon fabric for color and a blue dot fabric and a green vine print.  I think it turned out really cute!  These puff quilts are a surprise sometimes!  I have made them with fabric I just loved and when they were done they looked totally different than what I had expected! I made them for my youngest three girls and they packed them until they were threadbare, I remember  them in our car for every trip and every camp out and sleep over.  Now they are up in my closet of things I will never part with and they will never have a need for! (Maybe I will request that they bury them with me!)
