Remember The Alamo

Spring in San Antonio

WooHooo!! It is spring here! Today we flew out of Nashville to vacation in San Antonio, Texas! It was a nice, quick ride on the plane, with absolutely wonderful flight attendants, they were very attentive and so nice. We arrived, grabbed our bags~I swear it looked like we were moving, we had so much stuff~found the rental car, debated over who would have to stay at the airport because there was NO WAY all that was going to fit in that car, fortunately Bob managed to get it all in there, and we headed out to find a restaurant for lunch.  We found one with fish, for Lent, and enjoyed a feast of fish and hush puppies, veggies, biscuits, corn muffins, and dumplins for E. After dropping off our bags at the hotel, we headed for the pool. The girls swam and B & B played in the water fountains with G, while I found a chair and finished the funniest book I’ve read in years!! “The Pioneer Woman Black Heels to Tractor Wheels” by Ree Drummond. She is a hoot I am telling you!! I found her book browsing through Target one day and looked up her blog, www.thepioneerwoman.com and sent the link to my girls, then we all spent the weekend reading her blog. I bought her book for my Kindle and I have never laughed so much! B started the book while she was at my house last weekend but since it was on my Kindle, she has to wait until I finish to read it! She will have it tomorrow you can bet!! Later in the day, we headed downtown to the River Walk and HemisFair Park. We caught the sunset, it was absolutely beautiful!
